Recently, I've been hearing SO MUCH about this shop called Etude House which just opened up a branch in Megamall, that I couldn't help but be curious about what the fuss was all about. On top of that, after a bit more surfing and asking around, I noticed that EVERYONE I encountered all raved about their products. Needless to say, with a combo like this, I couldn't bring myself to ignore it, so I got up and trekked over to Megamall to see everything for myself.

All I can say is... the shop was VERY, VERY PINK and overflowing with estrogen. And I mean that in a good way. I just figured I'd put that in for the benefit of, and as a warning for my male friends who might end up accompanying their ladies to this place at one point or another.

TIP: There's a donut shop nearby. Go there, order a drink and a snack, and wait for the females to finish shopping. Bring something to read and just ask the girls to pick you up when they're done. They might be a while.

So anyway, on to the stars of this entry:

(ALSO: Sorry if I look haggard in the photos... I just got home from an all-nighter gaming session/hanging out with friends night, and I've been up for almost 24 hours. First thing I did when I got home was work on this entry because I was so excited. Hehehe.)

Alright, first up is the Etude House BB Cream with SPF 30 which I keep hearing about, and which seems to be a specialty or a bestseller of sorts. If I'm not mistaken, "BB" stands for "Blemish Balm", though I could be wrong. Hehehe. As far as I know, the BB cream acts as a very light foundation of sorts to help cover up skin blemishes, and that it has sunblock, as well as some healing properties which supposedly helps to get rid of or at least minimize the said blemishes over time and with regular use. Well, as we can see from the photo, I've got quite a lot of covering up to do, so I guess we'll eventually see if this product does what it's supposed to, ne? XDDD
PRICE: Php 598.00

Next up, we have the Blackhead Bond Patch/pore strips/blackhead removal strips. One box contains 10 individually-wrapped strips, which, in my opinion, is ALWAYS handy to have around. Normally, I buy pore strips on a per piece basis from Bench, but when I did the math, it turns out that it costs about the same anyway, so I got a whole box. :/
PRICE: Php 378.00

Another popular product I keep hearing about, the Hand Bouquet Rich Butter Hand and Heel Cream. Considering how much I work with my hands, I figured a bit of TLC would be good. Also, I'm wondering if this can help soften the skin on my heels which have grown a bit tough from all those stilettos, and sandals, etc.
PRICE: Php 378.00

The Sweet Appleade Slim Body Gel. Hehehehe.... if it's gonna help me lose weight and get my old figure back (HAH! I WISH!), I am SO there. XDDDD It might or it might not work, but at least I get a dose of skin care, considering how I have managed to NOT use any sort of body lotion for... ever. Figured it's about time I learned. XDDD
PRICE: Php 378.00

Ah, my most expensive purchase of the day, the Good-bye Dark Circle Eye Cream. Yes... my boyfriend calls me a tanuki for a reason. And yes... I have earned those dark circles under my eyes, no thanks to COLLEGE and GRAVEYARD SHIFTS. Goodness knows I could use a bit of help in this department. XDDD So let's see if this thing works...
PRICE: Phpn 648.00

Also... I bought it for the cute raccoon drawing on the packaging. XDDDD

Anyway... moving on...

The Code:B Color Force Gloss lip gloss in a color called "Glam Wine". For one thing, I think I've finally found a color that I will not kick myself in the head for after using it during a night out, plus it's in liquid form with a brush applicator (EDIT: My bad... the gloss doesn't have a brush applicator like those in mascara or other lip gloss brands/types. Instead, you turn a knob at one end which pushes out cream lip gloss at the other end, through some small holes). Also, shimmery in a nice way and NOT in any way shimmery in a way that I looked like I just ate something that came straight out of the deepfrier. I LOVE IT. Easy to use, pretty much foolproof, even for a complete make-up doofus and a talented fool such as myself. (No, not using it in this photo... I just got home from shopping... hehe...)
PRICE: Php 448.00

The Surprise Essence Concealer. LAL. Very funny name, in my opinion, but from the looks of it, I think I'm going to like this product a lot. A lot of people have been telling me that good concealer is ESSENTIAL, so I thought it might be a good idea to give this one a try. Again, I have a very good feeling about this brand. For one thing, the color is just right for someone tanned/mocha-skinned like myself, and I again love the fact that like the lip gloss, this is in liquid form with a nice brush applicator.
PRICE: Php 298.00

Collagen Eye Patch and the Ginkgo Lip Patch, when you need to concentrate on working on some specific areas. I noticed in the store that they sold Chin Patches and nose patches, etc, as well. I think I'd like it better if they'd just sell it as a whole mask. It would be cheaper, to start with. XDDDD
PRICE: Php 78.00 (eye) / Php 98.00 (lip)

I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THESE! D: My hair is naturally curly, but it has small ringlets. I've been looking for curlers like these for the longest time so that I can try to create some of those big waves or bigger curls, at least, without having to go to a salon. A little pricey for curlers, but it saved me the trouble, so HERE, TAKE MY MONEY. O_O;;;
PRICE: Php 78.00

As part of their ongoing promo, Etude House was giving away free sampler kits of their Total Age Repair Deluxe kit to customers who purchase at least 3k worth of products (which I apparently did without noticing. GAH.) The kit consists of the Activating Toner, Activating Emulsion, Facial Shaping Pack, Royal Essence (... *snicker*) and Royal Cream, all in sample sizes. It's great and all, but I guess my one problem is... HOW THE HECK DO YOU USE THIS??? I mean... in what order? Day or night? All the instructions on the box are all in KOREAN, and I didn't manage to ask the clerk about it, since they just popped the box in with the rest of my purchases while I was paying at the counter. >_<

If anyone can help me figure out that kit, PLEASE DO. I SHALL BE FOREVER THANKFUL. TwT

(EDIT: Thanks to Gia for teaching me how it works! :D )

Oh, and last but not least, I got this free file folder. Two of them. One of which is not the property of a good guy friend of mine. XDD (sorry, I have no idea who their endorser/model is...)

LAL. Anyway, FYI, I AM NO COSMETIC EXPERT. If anything, I am a cosmetic WEABOO. In fact, one of the main reasons that Etude House managed to reach my peripheral vision was because I've recently expressed that I sorely need to learn how to put make up on myself so that I shall no longer be a victim to the whims of hired make up artists during friends'/relatives' weddings/debuts/etc who never seem to have gotten the 80s out of their systems.

Also... well... after 25 years of existence, I figured it's about time I learned how to do something as simple as use lip gloss and not botch it. XDDDD So YAY for bids of self-improvement and YAY for finally paying attention to my badly neglected skin which has so far survived solely on bath soap and the occassional body butter or specialty shower cream.

So, I'll be testing out the products that I got from Etude, and I'll let you all know how it goes for me. I'm not even asking to be a Beyonce when this is all over. Seriously, even just a small improvement on my skin would make me happy. Hehe. I'm crossing my fingers! XDDDD
